Hello and thank you for taking time to visit our website.   I am  Alan Moore, a Licensed Funeral Director here in the State of Florida.  I have lived in the Bradenton and Palmetto area for 50 years.  My wife and I own and operate our funeral home as well as a full service florist - Cottage Flowers & Moore here in Palmetto, Florida. I am a third generation Floridian and my wife is originally from Muncie Indiana. I am sure we are reasonably representative of the geographic areas and families we serve,  as many are from Florida as well as our friends from the mid-west. My first loss was at 19 when my mom died.  I know we don't have the ability know how you feel, but I do know  we care about your family's loss, we are compassionate, we do understand death and we know how to help  families we serve transition through this difficult time. Who We Are - Mandie & Alan Moore, Owners

 We are a family of 8. We are locally owned and operated family businesses.  Alan was born in Lake Wales, Florida and Mandie was born in Muncie, Indiana.  Alan graduated from the University of South Florida in 1973 with a degree in Business Administration, a degree in Mortuary Science from Miami-Dade College in 1970.  Alan is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and has been licensed since 1972.  Mandie, in addition to being my wife and mom to our four children still at home with us, is also the owner and operator of Cottage Flowers and Moore in Palmetto.  She is a hands on Floral Designer and Chartered Floral Designer of America.  She has years of experience in Funeral Service as well as Floral design. Our children range in age from 11 to 39 and help as our crew when extra hands are needed.  When you call our funeral home our family is who will serve your family.
